Owltastic Adventures Await with Whoofle Bramblewing

Blizzard has announced a new World of Warcraft mount: Whoofle Bramblewing, an owl companion designed for players who want a fresh way to travel while hunting down secrets, side paths, and scenic vistas across Azeroth. The publisher’s pitch leans hard into personality—bright eyes, ruffled feathers, and an explorer’s curiosity—but the practical details are what matter most for day-to-day play.

For MacGaming.com readers, the key takeaway is simple: this is an in-game purchase mount for modern World of Warcraft (not Classic), and Blizzard is positioning it as a convenient account-wide unlock with automatic riding-speed scaling.

What Blizzard Says the Mount Does

According to Blizzard, Whoofle Bramblewing is shared across all present and future characters in modern World of Warcraft and automatically scales to each character’s fastest riding skill. Blizzard also notes that if your character can’t fly yet, the mount functions as a ground mount until flying becomes available—then it can take to the skies.

Availability and Restrictions

Blizzard states that Whoofle Bramblewing can be purchased via the in-game Shop or through Battle.net, with some restrictions that vary by region/account; Blizzard recommends checking the shop listing for the full details.

One important caveat from Blizzard: Whoofle Bramblewing is not available in World of Warcraft Classic games and requires an active World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time.

MacGaming.com Take

Account-wide mounts are at their best when they’re low-friction—easy to use across alts, immediately useful on characters at different progression levels, and not locked behind specific content. On Blizzard’s description, Whoofle Bramblewing is built to hit those checkboxes by scaling with your best riding skill and staying relevant even before flying is unlocked.
