Blizzard has pushed a fresh set of World of Warcraft hotfixes dated October 23, 2026, continuing a busy week of rapid-fire adjustments spanning World of Warcraft: Midnight, Mists of Pandaria Classic, Season of Discovery, The Burning Crusade Classic, WoW Classic Era, and Hardcore. As always with Blizzard’s server-side hotfix cadence, some changes go live immediately while others may require realm restarts—and some issues may still need a client patch to fully resolve.

What MacGaming.com readers should know

Even if you mainly track big patches, hotfix rolls like this can meaningfully change the day-to-day feel of endgame: fewer bugged pulls, fewer “why did that hit me?” moments in dungeon mechanics, and better reliability for class tools and item effects. For players juggling multiple versions of WoW, Blizzard’s consolidated hotfix posts are also the quickest way to spot cross-mode fixes and event tweaks without digging through multiple forum threads.

Highlights from the October 23 hotfixes

Class reliability fixes are the headline here. Enhancement Shaman players should now see Surging Elements correctly appear on the Cooldown Manager, addressing a UI tracking issue that could throw off rotational planning. Warlocks also received a notable behavior correction: Blizzard fixed issues where certain warlock summons and Diabolic Occuli could incorrectly target enemies outside of combat, impacting summons from Affliction’s Shadows of Nath'reza, Demonology’s Dominion of Argus, and Diabolist summons.

Dungeon cleanups also landed. Blizzard addressed cases where Nalorakk’s Echoing Maul in Den of Nalorakk could occur in the wrong location, and where Nibbles’ Fel Spray in Murder Row could hit targets outside the intended area—exactly the sort of edge-case behavior that can derail otherwise clean pulls.

Event and world behavior got a small but welcome tweak for Hallow’s End: players can now exit combat with the Shade of Seabreaker Skoloth. If you’ve been stuck in “phantom combat” at the wrong time, you’ll know why this matters.

Items and progression changes include a fix for items upgraded with Ascendant Venomstones that were ending up with incorrect item levels. Blizzard also corrected an issue in the Labyrinth where shorter character models could fall through the floor when respawning in Jan'alai’s Refuge.

Earlier this week: Labyrinth, PvP caps, and quality-of-life changes

Blizzard’s October 23 post also reiterates a substantial set of hotfixes from October 20–21 that may still be news to players who only check notes occasionally. The through-line: Blizzard continues to stabilize the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan experience and smooth out reward systems.

Notable callouts include: Mistcrests uncapped; Conquest and Bloody Tokens uncapped alongside the Spoils of War buff (increasing Conquest gains by 50% and Honor gains by 40% in Battlegrounds and Arenas); and continued Labyrinth scenario fixes to prevent blocks like despawning bosses or scenarios failing to complete. There’s also an extension for the achievement Fabled: Let Me Solo Him: Kindo'jan, now earnable until weekly maintenance during the week of October 27, per Blizzard.
