Twitch Drop campaign details
Blizzard has launched a new World of Warcraft Twitch Drop that awards the Cuddly Gold-Colored Grrgle Housing decor item. According to Blizzard, you can earn it by watching 4 hours of eligible World of Warcraft content on Twitch during the campaign window.
Start: October 13 at 10:00 am PDT
End: November 3 at 10:00 am PST
For MacGaming.com readers, the key takeaway is simple: this is a time-limited cosmetic reward tied to Twitch viewing, not an in-game challenge. If you play WoW across multiple systems, progress is tracked through your Twitch/Battle.net linkage rather than the device you watch on.
How to participate (per Blizzard)
Blizzard says you must link your Twitch and Battle.net accounts to be eligible. You can do that via Battle.net Connections: https://account.battle.net/connections
Once linked, watch a total of 4 hours of eligible WoW streams in the World of Warcraft category. You don’t have to stick to a single channel the entire time; Blizzard notes you can switch channels without losing progress, but you can’t speed things up by watching multiple streams at once.
Claiming, delivery timing, and region notes
Blizzard notes that you must claim the Drop on Twitch (either on the stream page or in your Drops Inventory) for it to be granted. After claiming, delivery to your game account can take up to 24 hours.
One detail worth double-checking if you play across multiple regions: Blizzard says the first Battle.net region you log into after claiming will be where the item is delivered.
Eligible regions listed by Blizzard include North America, Latin America, Europe, The Middle East, Africa, Japan, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Want more than one Grrgle?
Blizzard says players who claim the Twitch Drop can also purchase additional copies in-game from specific vendors: Dennia Silvertongue in Silvermoon City, plus Tuuran in Stormwind and Gabbi in Orgrimmar (near the Trading Post).
Important limitations to know
Blizzard states this Drop is not available in World of Warcraft Classic games. Blizzard also notes it requires a World of Warcraft subscription or game time.
Most notably, Blizzard says use and placement of the decor item is limited to the Housing feature, which requires access to World of Warcraft: Midnight. If you’re not planning to engage with Housing, you may want to temper expectations: the reward is specifically a Housing decor item.
